The University of Hawaii’s Center for Indigenous Innovation and Health Equity has received a $2 million award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health supports UH’s Center for Indigenous Innovation and Health Equity.
The initiative places an emphasis on implementing innovative and culturally appropriate frameworks to prevent and improve disparities in chronic diseases.

UH has presented at the conference since becoming a member of
CUGH in 2018.

Aimee Grace, director of the
UH Office of Strategic Health Initiatives and lead organizer for the event. “We are honored to have had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and resources with our colleagues around the globe.”
