Multifamily buildings in Honolulu without air conditioning will become increasingly warmer in the decades to come with “comfort levels” dropping by 42% by 2080 without interventions, according to a study from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
Student enrollment at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College increased by 7.1% this fall, contributing to UH’s overall 1.2% rise in student enrollments across its 10 campuses.
Research out of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa focused on ʻoʻopu nākea a type of goby fish found only in Hawaiʻi to link the importance of the mountain to ocean approach in the stewardship of the state’s natural and cultural resources.
