Police arrested a man Monday accused of stabbing a woman and her 12-year-old daughter with an ax in their shared residence in San Rafael, officials said.
Ermidio Diaz, 63, was booked into Marin County Jail for attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, assault causing great bodily injury, mayhem and child endangerment resulting in great bodily injury, police said. He is being held without bail. ....
