SAN FRANCISCO (AP) A woman who was caught on video coughing on and grabbing an Uber driver in San Francisco who ended the ride because she wasn t wearing a mask has pleaded not guilty to assault and other charges, authorities said.
Arna Kimiai, 24, entered pleas Monday to felonies of assault and attempted first-degree robbery along with misdemeanor charges of battery on a transit employee and violating a local health ordinance. She remains free on bail pending a May 3 hearing.
Kimiai is accused of attacking Subhakar Khadka, 32, on March 7 after he had picked up three passengers in the Portola district but then stopped the car because he noticed she wasn t wearing a face mask, which was required under anti-COVID-19 health orders. ....

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) A woman seen coughing on and verbally attacking a San Francisco Uber driver in a viral video is now in custody, according to city jail records.
ABC7 s Dion Lim broke the news Sunday night that 24-year-old Arna Kimiai turned herself in to SFPD.

LAS VEGAS (AP) A woman arrested in Las Vegas several days after an attack on an Uber driver in San Francisco that was widely viewed on social media agreed Monday to be transferred in custody to California to face criminal charges.
Malaysia King’s court appearance in Las Vegas came hours after police in San Francisco announced that Arna Kimiai, 24, a woman seen with King in the Uber driver confrontation, turned herself in to face robbery, assault and battery, conspiracy and other charges.
Kimiai’s attorney, Seth Morris, said Kimiai posted a $75,000 bond to go free pending a future court appearance during which charges could be filed. ....

SFPD says it worked with the Las Vegas Police Department to apprehend 24-year-old Malaysia King.
Another suspect, 24-year-old Arna Kimiai, has yet to be arrested but told SFPD through her legal counsel that she would be turning herself in.
