The public will get a preview at the new home for the Galesburg Community Arts Center, formerly the Galesburg Civic Arts Center, Friday night at their new home in the Odd Fellows Building on the corner of Seminary and Main Streets in Galesburg. The opening ceremony for the "Hard Hat" exhibition will be held Friday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 at the Odd Fellows building as renovations have been underway to turn the former Galesburg Antique Mall into a collaborative arts center. Exhibitions of recent works by Art Center members and friends living within 50 miles of the Art Center will be on display through November 27. The member and friends show will include paintings, fiber, sculptures, photography, metalwork, stained glass, and more from over 65 artists. This year's juror is Tyler Hennings of Macomb. He will award $850 in cash prizes. Hennings is the director of the Western Illinois University Gallery. He received his BFA from WIU and his MFA from Northern Illinois Univers
