'Joys of Life' campaign going well; vigilance still needed, mayor says | Sponsored

This billboard is part of Pittsfield s COVID-19 awareness campaign, Bring Back the Joys of Life. Now two weeks in, the campaign asks everyone to take care of their community during the coronavirus pandemic. City of Pittsfield image PITTSFIELD — Mayor Linda Tyer reports that the city s vaccination effort is going well and that the community s response to Pittsfield s COVID-19 awareness campaign, Bring Back the Joys of Life, has been welcoming. Now two weeks in, the campaign asks everyone to take care of their community during the coronavirus pandemic.  The Bring Back the Joys of Life billboard messages and ads are clear and aspirational, says Pittsfield Mayor Linda Tyer, depicting the better times that we all recall: smiling, unmasked faces of people enjoying one another’s company, theaters, downtown celebrations. No one should be doing this right now, notes Tyer, but it is what we want to get back to.

The Bring Back the Joys of Life campaign runs for six weeks, and is designed to keep the community focused on reaching the goal of stamping out COVID-19. City Mayor Linda Tyer says personal responsibility is what’s needed right now to end the COVID-19 surge, so we all can get back to doing the things we love the most. While we’re talking about it, when was the last time you shook someone’s hand, or gave or received a much-needed hug?
