Do you make of this? well, i think the killing of bin laden is going to have an impact on the u.s. strategy in afghanistan only because american public opinion is going to be increasingly involved in what is going on in afghanistan. we ll see how that plays out. the u.s.-pakistani relationship, as you know, is critical right now. there really are, brooke, two pakistans that the u.s. has to deal with. there is not just one pakistan. there are those officials like the president, president zardari, like the ambassador who was on my show yesterday, very pro-american and want to do whatever they can to help the united states in the war on terror but there are others in the intelligence community, even in the military and certainly in terms of the public at large who are not pro-american. they are very anti-american and do not trust the united states going back to the 1980s and 1990s. so it s a dilemma how you deal with pakistan. remember, on top of everything else, you want to cultivate p ....
