The leaders are former Assistant Organising Secretary of Hefajat Mufti Shakhawat Hossain Razi and former Assistant Secretary General Maulana Monzurul Islam Afendi. Both Shakhawat and Monzurul were placed on three-day remand each, in a case filed by Paltan Police Station over the 2013 mayhem. Meanwhile, Shakhawat was also placed on a three-day remand in another case filed with Motijheel Police Station over the same offence. ....
