Officers were involved in two separate pursuits in Superior at midday Wednesday, including one in which two investigators from the Duluth Police Department were injured.
The first incident began at about 11:30 a.m. when officers and investigators from the Superior and Duluth police departments and the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force attempted to stop a person near the 2000 block of Hammond Avenue. Police say the 42-year-old man was wanted on warrants for second-degree assault and drug-related charges.
Police say the man fled in a motor vehicle, causing significant property damage to a garage, two fences, private vehicles, and multiple police vehicles.
