A decorated U.S. Army chaplain is appealing actions taken against him that could end his career after he voiced support on his personal social media page for a military policy preventing trans-identified individuals from serving in the military.Â
Chaplain Maj. Andrew Calvert is contesting the reprimand from the U.S. Army after he commented on a Jan. 25 news article about the Biden administrationâs intentions of dropping President Donald Trumpâs ban on trans-identified men and women serving in the military.Â

ELEVEN soldiers at the Fort Bliss Army base in Texas were injured on Thursday after ingesting an “unknown substance” during a field training exercise.
Two of the soldiers were in critical condition, US Army officials said in a statement obtained by the daily military newspaper Stars and Stripe.

6 All members involved in the incident are under observation of medical professionals, the statement read.
Fort Bliss continues to investigate the matter and did not immediately provide further details late Thursday.
The mysterious incident comes shortly after two Fort Bliss soldiers were discovered dead within a three-week time frame.
Fort Bliss soldier Asia Graham, 19, was found unresponsive in her barracks room on December 31 and it was not immediately clear following the incident how she died.
