Te Raupua and Tutamoe are separated by just 40km as the crow flies, though travelling between them requires three hours of driving through the sleepy, relaxing inland towns of Tai Tokerau. Start with the hardest peak first – it s a massive achievement if you can clamber up. The best way to try to tackle Te Raupua is to take the 100km Kauri Coast drive from Dargaville to Ōpononi, the first town in the historic Hokianga Harbour. ....
