TUSTIN – The local fire department received a donation for $1,327 during a check presentation at the fire hall, Wednesday afternoon.
Money was raised during a three day-long vacation bible school with the theme “First Responders – Who We Go To For Help.” The initial goal was to raise $300 for local first responders, but within one night they had already reached their goal. The donations continued to pour in from the community after the first night.
“It makes me feel very, very appreciative with what is going on,” says Fire Chief Robert Rose. “It was definitely a big eye opener and it was a great thing to see the community come and to support us.”
