Turkey holds 18 people for 'praising terrorism' after soldiers killed in Iraq

Turkish police have detained 18 people for "praising terrorism" after the killing of soldiers last week, while a high-level outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) member was "neutralised" in northern Iraq, authorities said on Monday. Turkey vows further strikes against Kurdish militants in Iraq, Syria

Turkey says it will continue to target suspected positions of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in Iraq and northern Syria, in response to Friday's attack that killed nine soldiers at a Turkish base in Iraq.
