“I grew up watching Latin American TV shows,” said Sonmez, who was born and raised in Istanbul. “It’s the opposite now. Turkey produces all these shows and they’re being watched by the rest of the world, mainly Latin America, Eastern Europe, Middle East. And there are lots of Turkish shows on Netflix right now.” ....
