BRACEVILLE Township trustees gave final approval to place three 1-mill replacement levies on the November ballot to bring what each generates up to current valuation.
Fiscal Officer Tom Shay said at Tuesday’s trustees meeting the three levies at 1-mill each will each generate $59,114.
The new levies will replace a 1992 police levy, a 1987 road and bridge levy, and a 1982 fire / emergency medical service levy. All three levies expire at the end of the year.
Officials said the levies need updated to current valuations to cover costs for day-to-day operations and equipment needs in the police, fire and road departments. ....
