Burial of Muslims who have died of COVID has become a huge political issue. Science and religion seem to have been overtaken by raw politics. All this while the pandemic is raging in the country with more than 39000 cases reported and the numbers detected averages around 400-500 on a daily basis. If these increases continue at this rate, it is likely that the total will exceed 50,000 before the end of January 2021.
