Troy police said Tuesday there is not sufficient information to file criminal charges against two Rensselaer police officers in the death of a woodchuck on a golf course this summer.
And while those officers remain on paid administrative suspension, the case has been referred to the state Department of Environmental Conservation. After thoroughly reviewing all available information regarding the case and in consultation with the Rensselaer County District Attorney s Office, it has been determined that the case did not yield sufficient information to warrant charges, according to a statement issued by Troy Police Capt.
