Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is expected to release the Trinamool Congress poll manifesto for the upcoming West Bengal election. Banerjee was expected to announce her party’s election manifesto on March 14, however, the event was postponed after the TMC supremo was injured while campaigning in her constituency in Nandigram on March 11.
The TMC’s election manifesto is likely to focus on Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes. The ruling party is likely to promise doorstep delivery of ration to the beneficiaries of the Public Distribution System (PDS). Manifesto also promies delivery of rations under the public distribution system at doorstep
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday released the Trinamool Congress manifesto for the 2021 Assembly polls with promises of delivery of rations under the public distribution system at doorstep and universal basic income for every family.

The Trinamool Congress on Wednesday promised to provide minimum monthly income to all households if voted to power in the West Bengal Assembly elections. In its manifesto, the party also promised to generate 5 lakh jobs and deliver free monthly ration to 1.5 crore households.
West Bengal’s ruling party said it would also look into the possibility of including more communities under the Other Backward Class category,
The Indian Express reported.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the party’s 10 “Ongikars” or promises aim to build a stronger and more prosperous state.
