Gramiccioni announced. Daniel McDonald, 26, was sentenced on Feb. 12 by state Superior Court Judge Vincent N. Falcetano Jr. The five-year concurrent sentences in a New Jersey state prison included four third degree animal cruelty charges and one charge of third degree receiving stolen property for being in possession of a stolen tractor out of Monroe Township, Middlesex County. ....

Daniel McDonald, 26, of Freehold, pleaded guilty in November to four counts of third degree animal cruelty and also agreed to never to own, reside with, or take into his care or custody any living animal, according to a statement from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. He was also ordered to perform 30 hours of community service on each of the four animal cruelty counts and to pay $800 in restitution to the owner of the puppies. ....

Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni announced Friday that Daniel McDonald, 26, who now lives in Freehold but lived in Howell at the time of the deaths, was charged with four counts of animal cruelty. McDonald stole a tractor from a home on Monroe Township, stole the three week old puppies on May 12, 2020 from a farm in Franklin Township and brought them to his home at the time in Howell where they later died. ....
