mall on a saturday. there is an orderly exit which means that whatever they were worried about, whether it was an active shooter or whatever else, has been disabled or is not presently a threat. people don t seem to be running. and then we wait. the waiting is, of course, the search of the shopping mall to determine what noise was this, why were so many people talking about an active shooter. and in a soft and rich target. these are soft targets. they have to be. and they re also rich in the sense, there are lots of people in a mall on a saturday. and here we are. you can see just dozens and dozens, easily hundreds of people in an orderly fashion being escorted out of mall. but tom verna, i want to go back to you. not only do 37 the mall but we can see there are hundreds of cars there as well. so when law enforcement responds to something like this, how do you factor that there are hundreds of places potentially this person could hide in the parking lot as well? yea ....
And also, there may be some that are injured. i would imagine there s potential triage station that has been set up with the medical emts and what not, to treat those who, if this was a shooting and they were injured by the shooting, also potentially injured by people stampeding out of the mall. in a lot of the cases. people are flying down the escalators and people get injured that way. as long as they feel those areas are within a short o safe distance that may be during within the mall itself. at this point, there may not be any danger at aufrlt maybe the danger has passed. it is unclear what exactly they re facing inside there. so because the situation is so fluid, they re kind of doing this on the run. ....
