Schuette is an associate judge in the Family Division in the Third Judicial Circuit, Madison County. She was the Presiding Supervising Judge of the Family Division from October 2017 to May 2021. She was appointed to the bench in October 2015. Prior to her appointment she practiced law for more than 25 years. She had her own practice, Schuette Law Office, in Edwardsville for 22 years, during which time she was a Guardian Ad Litem and Mediator in hundreds of cases and served as an Arbitrator. ....

Angela Donohoo of Bethalto and Ronald Motil of Maryville were recently approved by the Circuit Judges of the district as new associate judges serving Madison and Bond Counties. The vacancies were created upon the election of former Associate Judge Steve Stobbs to the circuit bench and the resignation of Associate Judge John Julian. Donohoo has been practicing law for 18 years in her own practice, Levo-Donohoo, in Troy. She is a past president of the Madison County Bar Association, is a board member of Hope Rescues and is a former president of the Board of the Metro East Humane Society. Motil is a longtime attorney in the county and is also a past president of the Madison County Bar Association, as well as the Tri-City Bar Association. Donohoo and Motil Chief Judge William Mudge announced Friday that the circuit judges of the Third Judicial Circuit selected Angela P. Donohoo and Ronald S. Motil to fill two associate judge vacancies. “Angela Donohoo and Ron Motil bring a great deal of experience and professionalism to our bench,” Mudge stated in a press release. “They are great additions to the Third Judicial Circuit, and join an outstanding group of men and women who impartially and fairly administer justice for the people of Madison and Bond Counties. My colleagues and I look forward to working with both of them.” Associate judges are picked by the circuit s elected judges. In the Third Judicial Circuit where there are nine elected circuit judge seats, applicants must receive at least five votes, otherwise balloting goes to a subsequent round.
