If that’s truly the way to the promised land, then the UAB football team has all the ingredients for another dominating season with three senior defensive linemen taking advantage of the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA returning to lead a deep position on an already stacked defense. “I think it’s tremendous anytime you can get a veteran group of guys back who know the ropes and what’s going on,” UAB defensive line coach Kyle Tatum said. “Really enjoy coaching these guys and they’re taking steps and getting better every day. There’s a huge battle in my room right now and the guys are very aware of it. The competition is awesome and it’s fun to come out here for spring training when you got guys really competing.”
