Azerbaijan’s DOST agency to acquire 1C software via tender [Trend News Agency, Baku, Azerbaijan]
Apr. 3 The Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Security (DOST), a public legal entity of Azerbaijan, has announced a tender to acquire 1C software for effective organization of the activities.
The tender will be held in one lot.
The tender participation fee is 500 manat ($294).
All those willing to take part in the survey of proposals should send the necessary documents by 16:00 (GMT+4) April 26, 2021, and their offers by 16:00 May 4, 2021.
The tender packages will be unsealed at 16:00 on May 5, 2021.

Azerbaijan launches online platform for world’s first startup accelerator [Trend News Agency, Baku, Azerbaijan]
Feb. 15 A new educational platform, Startup Academy, has been launched in Azerbaijan, Director of the SUP.VC innovation center, Vusal Karimli, told Trend.
He noted that the platform is available to all citizens free of charge.
To date, the platform has been launched in the beta testing stage, the full version of which will be presented in cooperation with foreign countries, said Karimli.
The innovation center’s director also stated that the project will provide an opportunity to gain knowledge for startups in the districts of Azerbaijan. ....

Central Bank of Azerbaijan plans to expand digital identification system [Trend News Agency, Baku, Azerbaijan]
Jan. 29 The extensive automation programs are currently being developed in the digital identification system, which was presented to the Azerbaijani public in October 2020, Sahib Hasanov, representative of the Information Technology Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), told Trend on Jan. 28.
“Hyperledger Fabric blockchain platform which envisaged storage of customer data in a database based on distributed ledger technology by maintaining complete confidentiality was introduced within this project for the first time in Azerbaijan,” Hasanov added.
“One of the main goals of introducing these elements was to increase the coverage of offered electronic banking services, as well as to build Client-Bank relations at a more advanced level by using the latest technological solutions,” a representative of the department said. ....

Jan. 23 The E-PUL payment service has presented this week another innovation in the Azerbaijani market, Samir Nasibov, director-general of PAYSIS company, the legal owner of the E-PUL payment system, told Trend on Jan. 19.
According to Nasibov, by using this service, it will be easy and convenient to sell and buy goods and services.
He noted that there is now no need to create a website or application for selling goods and services it’s enough to create own e-market in the Marketplace service from E-PUL. The connection to the service takes a few minutes and is free while the seller’s admin panel makes using the service as simple and convenient as possible. ....
