JOHNSTOWN The Fulton County Board of Supervisors’ Finance Committee on Thursday voted to join the town of Mayfield in an assessment challenge being waged by Holland Meadows Golf Course.
County Treasurer Terry Blodgett told the committee that the golf course is challenging its assessment in court, desiring it to be lowered from $570,000 to $381,000. He received committee permission to have the county participate in the legal challenge. The full board will vote Feb. 8.
Blodgett said County Attorney Jason Brott felt it was appropriate for the county to get involved in the legal defense by the town of Mayfield.of Mayfield.
