Updated: 12:48 PM EDT Jun 4, 2021 A man has been arrested and charged with murder and arson in two separate cases, the Spartanburg County Sheriff s Office said Friday. Timothy Joseph McKinney, 35, of Enoree, was charged in the murder of Travis Scott McCall, 21, whose body was found in a ditch in Enoree on Monday night, Sheriff Chuck Wright said during a news conference.Watch news conference in Facebook post below.McKinney cut McCall s neck and strangled him, according to warrants.Based on the statements of witnesses, surveillance video and forensic evidence, investigators identified McKinney as the suspect, Wright said.McKinney and McCall were acquaintances but a motive has not been determined, Wright said.The sheriff said the homicide investigation led to more charges filed against McKinney in an arson fire the happened on Feb. 20, in Woodruff.The fire was reported at 314 Buncombe St., which was the home of McKinney s ex-girlfriend at the time, Wright said.McKinney faces
The coroner has released the name of the man whose body was found Monday night in Enoree. The body was found just after 5:30 p.m. on Parker Road, according to Master Deputy Tony Ivey, with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office.
