Lucy Anna Amelia Zarn was born to Albert and Lydia (nee Ost) Zarn on May 14, 1931 in Leaf Valley Township, Douglas County, MN. She was brought into the family of Christ at her baptism on June 2, 1931 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church. She confirmed her faith on June 4, 1946 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Miltona, MN. She graduated from high school at Parkers Prairie June 2, 1950 and attended her 50 year class reunion in 2000. On June 28, 1951, she and Palmer Krueger were married at Ebenezer Lutheran Church at Leaf Valley, MN. They walked together in love and faith through 73 years of marriage until his death in 2022. Lucy was called to glory on October 1, 2023 after a long decline brought on by age and dementia. She was 92 years, four months and 16 days of age.
Palmer Franz Ewald Krueger was born January 24, 1926 to parents Wilhelm (William) and Ernestine (nee Wussow) Krueger. He was baptized February 14, 1926 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Leaf Valley township, Douglas County, Minnesota. He confirmed his baptismal vows before the congregation at Ebenezer on June 30, 1940. He and Lucy Anna Amelia Zarn were married at Ebenezer on June 28, 1951 and remained active members there for their entire married life. He died on September 27, 2022 at Knute Nelson Care Center in Alexandria, MN at the age of 96 years, eight months and three days.
