globe. live from studio 7, this is cnn saturday morning with t.j. holmes. just got that breaking news from the nba. just a matter of hours ago. they were working overnight. we ve got a live report on that coming your way literally in seconds. i do want to get you caught up on other morning headlines, including out of pakistan. where pakistan is saying nato helicopters opened fire killing 20 soldiers. this happened near the border with afghanistan. pakistan and military officials say another 12 soldiers injured in this attack. nato is saying they are aware of the incident but have yet to release any details. we have a live report from afghanistan coming up just a little later in the show. also, three american students arrested during protests in egypt are all expected to be headed home this weekend. they re accused of taking part in the sometimes violent protests in tahrir square. but parents of at least two of the teenagers say they didn t do anything wrong. tens of ....

One of the storm chasers cars got flipped they got so close. thankfully we didn t have any injuries or fatalities. now, today we re waking up this morning, more severe weather in texas in the dallas/ft. worth area. these storms are going to sweep through your area and eventually little rock to louisiana, anywhere in yellow you have a chance of severe storms today. pretty much from st. louis south wards down through the deep south. in the east as i mentioned just bottle this up and enjoy it. 67 degrees today from philly to new york. hartford near 70. you just had a foot of snow a little over a week ago so this is finally a nice stretch of weather. it s going to last today and tomorrow. then it all changes for the east as the cold air and stormy weather from the middle of the country shifts to the east coast. but by far the worst travel weather if you re flying today, chicago all the way down to dallas. that s the travel trouble spots. beautiful day in d.c., though. you re watching mor ....

This morning. a little bit of a breeze, too, but skies are clear. the only showers we have is in extreme northern portions of vermont and maine. but even there, a nice day today. temperatures will be about 83 in d.c., by far the warmest. everybody else in the 70s and just a nice crisp afternoon. a good day to eat your lunch out doors. buffalo cooler at 65. we also have some big thunderstorms in kansas. as far as the weather goes in our country, this is probably the worst of it today. this will head towards kansas city this afternoon. some big storming rolling out there. so the forecast for today, the only travel trouble spots if you re flying would be kansas city up into minneapolis. chicago looks nice today. it s hot in dallas. in san antonio and houston, you can t catch a break this summer. still temperatures in the mid-90s today. it s pretty hot down there from new orleans all through florida, also. but, lynn, the tropics, very active. the rest of the country kind of quiet. bill, ....
