The Seahawks, whose roster is littered with Staten Islanders, entered the final day with a 21-point lead. Central Connecticut, who was in sixth place at the end of the competition on day one, finished second with 128 points while Mount St. Mary’s, who entered the final day in second, dropped down to third, finishing with 115 points. ....

The Seahawks totaled 41 points, with four finishers in the top eight. Trausti Thorsteins of Iceland was named the 2020 NEC Most Outstanding Performer for the second time in his Seahawk career after crossing the finish line at 24:28.7 in the men’s 8K race. ....
