Chairman of the Tobago Festivals Commission Ltd (TFCL) Dr Denise Tsoiafatt-Angus is looking forward to improving on the foundation laid during her previous term, having been reappointed for a second term.
Last Thursday, Tsoiafatt-Angus was presented with her instruments of appointment as she was given a fresh mandate by THA Chief Secretary and Secretary of Tourism, Culture and Transportation Ancil Dennis during a ceremony at the division’s Sangster’s Hill head office in Scarborough.

Dr Denise Tsoiafatt Angus has been re-appointed chairman of the Tobago Festivals Commission Ltd.
Chief Secretary and Secretary of Tourism, Culture and Transportation Ancil Dennis installed a new Board of Directors on Thursday during a simple ceremony at the division’s Sangster’s Hill head office, Scarborough.
The board will be mandated to manage and provide policy and strategic direction for the commission.

Frustrated lifeguards on Wednesday called for an urgent meeting with the Division of Tourism, Culture and Transportation.
The lifeguards, speaking with the media at the Store Bay Beach Facility, revealed a number of grievances, including working conditions, outstanding wages, lack of equipment and PPE.
Spokesman Cha Burris said: “Lifeguards have been working public holidays and extra on the Sundays since before covid19. We are working public holidays and we are not receiving these monies – sometimes a whole three months after, sometimes a whole six months after. Right now, we are waiting in limbo because we’ve been working public holidays since last year August – we have worked at least ten-12 pu
