israel: Initial shipment of advanced US weapons lands in Israel as President Biden vows support

The first shipment of advanced US weapons and equipment has arrived in Israel to support its fight against Hamas. The delivery was made through a joint operation involving the Israel Ministry of Defence, the US Procurement Mission, and the International Transportation Unit. The US has already begun delivering munitions and military equipment to Israel, with further supplies being reviewed. Power demand hits record highs in August, with 234 GW peak

India experienced an all-time high in electricity demand last week due to hot weather and increased irrigation needs. The maximum demand met on August 17 reached 234 GW, surpassing the predicted 229 GW for the summer. The rise in demand was attributed to a dry spell in some regions and humid weather. Cooling appliances and irrigation were major contributors to the increased demand.
