This request requires an amendment to the Mission Bay South redevelopment plan to increase the number of rooms allowed on the block one hotel parcel from the currently approved 250 rooms to the rounded number of 300 rooms. The community had been very worried about losing this hospital wondering where people who needed care would go for help, especially as this pandemic hit. So, there is some relief that the state is using seton. They still have to move in the medical equipment and train the staff, so theyve got a little work to do.
