Arshak Karapetyan appointed Armenia s First Deputy Chief of General Staff with the force of law On April 7 Armenia’s Prime Minister submitted to the president of the republic Armen Sarkissian a motion to appoint Arshak Karapetyan as first deputy chief of General Staff of Armenian Armed Forces. The president did not sign the motion in the set period of time neither did he return it with objections. “Based on Part 3 of Article 139 of the Constitution with the force of law Arshak Karapetyan is considered appointed in the post of the first deputy chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces from April 13, 2021,” government’s administration said in a statement. ....
