Different law enforcement agencies that responded. they did not respond among the 356 law enforcement officers there. the report also places some blame on the school for the lack of a lockdown. so much was learned in 1999 from columbine. you underscored that point earlier. you don t wait. you go in. what do you suppose will be learned from this debacle that every school, every jurisdiction is likely to adopt or would need to adopt? well, again, you know, i think the lessons have to go beyond just uvalde obviously. even needs to look at their protocols, look at their training, and make sure that, you know, not only is the training taking place, but that officers understand and can follow the training and they have the right equipment. they understand what it is they re expecting to do. that s not just the officers. that s leadership. those are supervisors.
