WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Labor has released guidance to states on how to promote equitable access for all workers and job-seekers to unemployment insurance programs.
The U.S. Department of Labor has announced the award of $16 million in grants to support organizations in 12 states as they pilot strategies to improve job quality and increase the availability of good jobs in the care, climate resiliency and hospitality sectors.
The grants will focus on individuals whose employment was affected negatively by the pandemic and workers from historically underrepresented and underserved populations.
