gop and the generational change that s going on with the democratic side. that s why georgia matters today. with the ballots still being counted, the two races are too close to call. good evening, i m julie haener. and i m frank somerville. taking a look at the latest numbers which are updating by the moment, the race has incredibly tightened up between democrat jon ossoff and democrat david perdue, who are in a virtual tie, 97% of the vote reporting, and you could see there is less than 1000 votes separating the two candidates. also, republican kelly loeffler is law in a very close race with her challenger, democrat raphael warnock, again, 50 slash 50, but the margin is a little bit wider with warnock leading by several thousand votes. republicans, keep this in mind, only have to win one of these two seats to keep control of the u.s. senate. let s go live now to our ktvu political reporter greg lee for more on what s at stake, and there is a lot at stake. much like in
