Getting a better look at BNSF s track - Railway Track and Structures

An observation window at the rear of the train is part of the manned geo car design. BNSF BNSF recently reported that new equipment has been installed on their geometry cars. The system is called Track Health Optical Recognition, or THOR. Detailed information about the system is found in a BNSF “Rail Talk” release, and is reproduced below with permission from BNSF. What rides on our rail – mostly freight and some passenger trains – holds precious cargo.
