First he wants the School Reform commission to disband itself by a vote in the next two weeks then he wants the city to return to a locally controlled school board. That would be nine members that he will appoint. They say this means the buck will stop with him. The concern is that he says there has been a lot of finger pointing in the district and outside of the district with state leaders and that nobody is taking the lead but he wants to be responsible for School District.
