Stonegate Group, a Natick developer, will move later this month into a new headquarters office in town it bought for nearly $2.7 million.
The firm will move to 235 W. Central St. from 83 Speen St. just under a mile away.
Stonegate has been working to turn the former St. Patrick s School at 45 E. Central St. in Natick into 45 residential units and other space. Stonegate bought the former school in 2015 for $3.4 million, and has reached a development agreement with the town and received zoning changes necessary for ground-level retail use. It also turned a former American Legion building at 13 W. Central St. into a mixed-use development, opened in 2017.
NATICK A Town Meeting member plans to introduce a resolution that condemns the actions of those who took part in the Jan. 6 riot inside the U.S. Capitol.
Jay Ball, a 30-year member of the elected body, will present his resolution during tonight’s first session of Town Meeting.
Posted on the town’s website, the resolution calls the riot a “despicable act.”
“…be it resolved that we, the duly elected Members of Natick Town Meeting, condemn the actions of any and all persons who took part in this act of sedition, and declare that they in no way represent the sentiments of this body, or of the Town of Natick,” the resolution reads in part.

Water Alert
The Town received notice this afternoon of the presence of E. Coli bacteria within drinking water samples collected yesterday, Jan. 12. Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection regulations require the Town to issue a ‘boil water order’ effective immediately.
E. coli bacteria can make you ill, and are a particular concern for people with weakened immune systems. Do not drink tap water without boiling it for at least 1 minute first or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, food preparation, brushing teeth and washing dishes until further notice.
The Department has removed water sources that tested positive for E. Coli from operation and has increased water disinfection treatments. Follow-up and confirmatory water quality samples will be taken immediately. The results of this testing and system analysis will determine the cause of the positive results.
