DESPITE a delay to the construction of Hereford s new cycle circuit Halo Leisure say that they are very committed to the delivery of the project. In March last year the project for a 1.5-kilometres closed circuit at Hereford Racecourse was provisionally awarded £500,000 from Sport England through the British Cycling “Places to Ride” funding programme. With £200,000 committed from Herefordshire Council and £50,000 awarded by Hereford City Council this bought the total financial support to £750k. However, the project awaits a decision from British Cycling if the money can be carried over into the next financial year.
