reporter: well, when you look at this street, it s in a residential neighborhood, very quiet. the street has speed bumps so it s very difficult even to get up any amount of speed. now, when police arrived here, it became very clear to them, i think, that the driver of the vehicle who was still on the scene and the man who was struck knew each other and here is how police describe what happened. preliminariry what appears to happen, there was a man and woman having some sort of domestic dispute inside the residence. the man left the residence on foot. the woman left the residence in a vehicle. at some point, she struck him with the vehicle. reporter: now, police have not identified the man who was killed and they say at this time, no charges have been filed. that does not mean they won t at some point. back to you. jackie bensen, thanks so very much. developing now in northeast, police still on the scene of a stabbing that happened just before 3:00 this afternoon. thes
would cut off nighttime service in their neighborhood. instead police are going to place a cruiser in the neighborhood around the clock. that detour went into effect saturday night. police say it was a temporary detour because of several security related incidents including a shooting that happened friday night where a man that was simply sitting on a bus was hit by gunfire. they are angry that bus service was scaled back. many would have to walk a mile and a half to get to the closest metro station. earlier today, pat collins was able to speak to bowser about this detour and she inld kated that she did not know this was going to happen. what does that say about the violence in the city? they have been talking about that for years. sunt that send a bad message. obviously they were on the scene, aware that there was no clarity of when this detour was taking place. you will hear from them coming up news 4 at 5:00. back to you. this is chris gordon in annapolis where t
