“Uzbekistan has always had an interest in cooperation with Belarus. Our relations have a deep history. And this interest has multiplied in recent years. We have seen that Belarus, thanks to reforms and transformations, has reached such heights of development and has such potential, which is interesting for Uzbekistan,” Ravshanbek Alimov said.
“Over the past six years, the partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus have gained a new lease of life. Open, trustworthy dialogue and agreements reached between our heads of state serve as a solid foundation,” Ravshanbek Alimov said.
Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly were part of the CIS observation mission. The delegation was headed by Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly's Commission on Foreign Policy, Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Sergei Rachkov.
