Petersburg Kappa League raise more than $5G selling popcorn virtually to help feed those in need

PETERSBURG - Area youth make a difference in the lives of many people in the community by selling popcorn virtually and holding a canned food drive.
On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the young men of the Petersburg Kappa Youth Leadership & Development League Petersburg Kappa League donated $5,621.50 as well as 400 pounds of canned goods to The Hope Center at Downtown Churches United in Petersburg in support of the P.T. Taylor Walk Against Hunger and the food pantry.
Another celebrated alumni, former Peace Corps volunteer and local realtor and broker, Jeff Blaha shared, The aspect of my Saint Joseph School education that I treasure the most is the moral and ethical values that I learned from the Daughters of Charity and the lay faculty. These values are strongly rooted in the Golden Rule, the Beatitudes, and the Prayer of St. Francis. I also learned the value of diversity. The school has a long history of serving the community, added Blaha. As an alternative to public schools and other private schools, it has developed a reputation for academic achievement, service, and Christian values.
