　　他与云栖袾宏、紫柏真可、藕益智旭并称明代四大高僧，被尊为曹溪中兴之祖；他所言“不知春秋，不能涉世；不精老庄，不能忘世；不参禅，不能出世”，成为当时我国思想界的标杆；他曾于流放雷州期间，应海南名士之邀渡海游琼，写下妙文推介海南胜景……他，便是憨山德清。

　　憨山（1546-1623），俗姓蔡，名德清，字澄印，金陵全椒（今属安徽滁州）人。万历二十三年（1595年），早已名动天下的憨山坐“私造寺院”罪，被发配广东雷州充军，十余年始归。其间，他曾于万历三十三年（1605年）应邀游历海南，并为海南“代言”。
　　这年三月，憨山应“宗伯王公”定安进士王弘诲、“给谏许公”琼山进士许子伟之邀，渡海入琼。王弘诲曾任国子监祭酒 ....
