Bhutan, Maldives first among 6 recipients of Covid vaccine from India
Bhutan is the first country to receive the Government of India s (GoI) gift of the Covidshield vaccine, manufactured by the Serum Institute of India (SII), on Wednesday, followed by Maldives the same day.

Even in the pandemic, India stayed with her neighbourhood first policy and chose Maldives and Bhutan as the first two countries to be provided with Covid-19 vaccines, that will be delivered today (January 20).

21:29 PM IST: A consignment containing 100,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine Covishield will reach Male on January 20. With this, the Maldives, along with Bhutan, has become the first recipient of the Government of India s gift of Covid-19 vaccines, manufactured by Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII).

20:54 PM IST: Covid-19 vaccines were administered in all 33 districts on Telangana on Tuesday. Data released by the state government s health department said 51,997 recipients received the Covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday during 894 sessions as against the target of 73,673. This puts the percentage of beneficiaries vaccinated today against the planned target at 71 per cent.

The mega vaccination drive has already kicked off across with India with
