Denmark seeks ammunition for F-35A cannon - Air Warfare

Danish defence procurement agency DALO issues RfI for framework tender.
The Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) has issued an RfI to industry for cartridges to arm cannons on its future fleet of F-35A Lightning II multi-role fighter aircraft.
DALO announced on 20 January that it intends to put out a framework agreement tender for an ammunition provider to supply 25x137mm rounds for the F-35A. It added that it is ‘looking for information on how to structure such [a] tender’.
Responses to the RfI must be completed by 15 February 2021, DALO announced in a post on the official EU tenders database. ....

Australia strengthens its commonality with the US by deciding to introduce the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter.
The wait is finally over and, to no great surprise, Australia has plumped for the Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian as its new attack helicopter platform under Project Land 4503 via a Foreign Military Sales deal.
This puts to bed a long-running and heated saga over the Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter .

Northrop Grumman has received a $325 million contract from the U.S. Air Force for continued support of the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS).
The 2021 contract executes the Total System Support Responsibility (TSSR) program for the E-8C Joint STARS fleet with Northrop Grumman as the prime systems integrator for total support and sustainment to the U.S. Air Force.
The Joint STARS TSSR program will provide program management, engineering technical support, aircrew and maintenance training, supply chain and spares management, technical data and publications, program depot maintenance and overall customer support. ....

India confirms Tejas procurement - Air Warfare

Indian Air Force to receive 73 Mk 1A fighters and ten trainer aircraft.
The Indian government on 13 January approved the purchase of 73 Tejas Mk 1A fighters and ten Tejas Mk 1 trainer aircraft in the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) programme for the Indian Air Force (IAF).
This is the first procurement to be agreed under Indian government rules stipulating that 50% of components for combat aircraft must be made domestically. This proportion will rise to 60% by the end of the LCA programme
Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd will manufacture the 83 aircraft under an INR45,696 crore ($6.25 billion) contract, working with a supply chain and development base of about 500 Indian companies. ....
