Not quite free movement offered to UK for students and young workers

The European Commission is proposing to negotiate a deal with the United Kingdom to allow EU citizens aged between 18 and 30 to live, work and study in the UK for up to four years. Young British citizens would be allowed to move to an EU member state on the same basis. It’s an attempt by the Commission to pre-empt any bilateral deals between the UK and individual member states but it has also triggered a fresh round of British political paranoia about freedom of movement, which played a significant part in the UK’s decision to leave the EU, writes Political Editor Nick Powell. ....
