1. The Crown Charles and Diana’s wedding and Lord Mountbatten’s funeral from the Netflix’s series The Crown were filmed at the Winchester Cathedral. While the cathedral was transformed into St Paul’s Cathedral for the wedding, it was made to look like Westminster Abbey for the funeral. Other Hampshire locations have also appeared in The Crown including Rhinefield House which portrayed one of the royal residences on the Balmoral estate and Somerley House which acted as a stand in for the royal couple s country estate, Highgrove.
