Thirteen outstanding young Black men from 10 Central Arkansas high schools were recognized and received a combined total of $60,000 in scholarship awards at the 51st Annual Delta Presents Scholarship Program, held April 28 at Little Rock s Arkansas Repertory Theatre.
"Sisterhood, Social Action & the Power of Our Vote" was the theme of the 111th Founders Day Celebration hosted by the Little Rock Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. A passionate keynote speech by U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) lined up well with said theme.
