Date Time Author, journalist Ijeoma Oluo to give annual MLK Lecture Seattle-based writer Ijeoma Oluo will give the 2021 Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Lecture at Cornell, in a virtual forum on March 1 at 7 p.m. Instead of a lecture, this year’s event will be a conversation between Oluo and Edward Baptist, professor of history in the College of Arts and Sciences and author of “The Half Has Never Been Told: Slavery and the Making of American Capitalism” (2014). 3 months ago in Local Photo: WHCU ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – It’s a national search for a new director at the Tompkins County Public Library. A 15-member search committee says the process is underway and it includes a national advertising campaign. Interested applicants are encouraged to review online information about the library and position. Applications are asked to be submitted to Tompkins County Human Resources by January 31st. Search Committee chair Blixy Taetzsch says the library is looking for a dynamic leader and communicator who is passionate about expanding library access and continuing a commitment to excellence.
