AsianCrush Adds Live-Action 'Nodame Cantabile' Series

While many of us continue to hope for the  Nodame Cantabile anime series to get picked up, AsianCrush has added the live-action series to its ranks today. The eleven episode series originally aired in 2006 and is based on the manga of the same name by Tomoko Ninomiya. That series ran for 23 volumes between 2001 and 2009 and saw some release from Del Rey Manga. Check out our review of the anime series. Plot concept: Shinichi Chiaki is a first class musician whose dream is to play among the elites in Europe. Coming from a distinguished family, he is an infamous perfectionist; not only is he highly critical of himself, but of others as well.
